The Detroit Fall Beer Festival, organized by the Michigan Brewers Guild, is an annual event held at Eastern Market in Detroit on the fourth Saturday and Sunday of October. The Guild, a non-profit organization, promotes Michigan-brewed beer through marketing and consumer education, ensuring the health of the state's beer industry. This festival offers attendees the opportunity to sample a variety of Michigan craft beers, often overshadowed by mainstream brands. It's an encouraging invitation to explore and enjoy local brews.

Every year since its opening, the Detroit Fall Beer Festival has sold out of tickets before the event has even here! Tickets for the Detroit Fall Beer Festival go on sale online three months before the event, and within those three months, the tickets sell out. Every year, the festival plans to sell tickets at the gate, but they are always sold out. This festival is a favorite among all Michiganders, which is why it is in ever-growing demand every year. Tickets are priced differently online, and each ticket includes specific amenities. The best ticket deal, priced at 40$, will include 15 drink tokens; one token is good for a 3-oz sample of beer. The next ticket deal is known as the 'designated driver' ticket, priced at only 5$ a pop. This is for those who do not plan on drinking during the event, the DD of your group. Any person entering with a designated driver ticket will not be permitted to consume alcohol, period. Anyone caught drinking while designated as a driver will be removed and banned from the festival. So if you think you may want to drink, let someone else in the group go for the designated driver ticket. If any tickets remain after the pre-sale online, they will be available for sale at the gate for $45. Additional drink tokens will be available for purchase inside the event. All attendees must be 21 years of age or older and present a valid ID. You can purchase your tickets today at mibeer.com or mbgmash.org.
If you are a member of the Michigan Brewers Guild, you will be able to utilize an entire extra hour of fun, because the festival will open an hour before general admission each day. You'll be able to enjoy an entire hour of drinking with your fellow Michigan Brewers Guild members! A valid membership card will be required to enter the festival an hour early. Drink tokens have their own policy that everyone attending the festival must follow. Each token will be good for a 3-oz pour sample of your choice! The Michigan Brewed Guild utilizes these drink tokens with specially marked cups to ensure compliance with Michigan Liquor Control Commission regulations. Patrons of the festival will be expected to provide a token for each sample they receive. Extra tokens will be available for purchase at the event for only 50 cents a piece.
